Belly is a virtual pet game designed exclusively for Apple Watch. Your adorable pixel companion lives on your wrist, thriving when you stay active and engaged. The game is completely free to play with no paywalls. Everything can be earned through gameplay.

The game rewards real-world activity: your daily steps convert to Hearts and coins, which keep your pet healthy and let you unlock cosmetics. Mini-games and social features add depth without demanding constant attention. It's designed to fit naturally into your life, not take over it.

## Core Features

### Walk & Earn Hearts

Your daily steps directly fuel your pet's health. Every 1,000 steps gives you 1 Heart and 1 coin, and each Heart you tap adds +5 Health. Just wear your Apple Watch and walk normally. Belly reads today's step total from Apple Health each time you open it, so open it again before midnight to count the steps you walked later in the day.

Pro tip: If steps aren't showing, fully close and reopen the app. Check that Steps is turned on for Belly in your iPhone's Settings > Privacy & Security > Health.

### Care for Your Pet

Your pixel companion has two vitals: Health and Happiness. Both drop 5 points every 4 hours, which makes a daily check-in worth it, but your cat never dies. Use Hearts to restore Health, and toys to boost Happiness.

Brush and Plush Mouse are free toys with 4-hour cooldowns. Use them daily!

### Play Mini-Games

Seven games test different skills: Catch the Treats, Whack-a-Mouse, Cloud Climb, Zoomies, Busy Paws, Pancake Stack, and Copy Cat. Each game rewards Happiness based on your stars, and 2 stars or more also earns a Heart.

You get 5 free games a day, one per game. After that, each play costs 5 coins.

### Customize Everything

Express yourself with cosmetic items including seasonal outfits, cultural themes, and fun accessories. Change your pet's background environment too, from cozy autumn scenes to festive holiday themes. Coins from your steps buy outfits, backgrounds, toys, and health items. Your pet's look syncs to your watch complications and friends' views.

Cosmetics are purely visual. There's no pay-to-win advantage.

### Connect with Friends

Your 6-letter friend code is in the Friends tab. Share it, or tap Add friend and enter a friend's code. Belly sends a request, and your friend accepts it. Friends see your pet's outfit and background, and you can pet each other's pets once a day.

Pet each other every day to grow your Friendship Rose together.

### How do complications work?

Belly offers four free watch face complications. Belly: Steps shows your pet and today's step count, Belly: Vitals shows your pet's Health and Happiness, and Belly: Circle and Pet Corner show your pet on its own. They update from the last time you opened Belly. Your pet is always with you at a glance.

### How do I earn coins?

The main way to earn coins is through your daily steps: every 1,000 steps gives you 1 coin. Daily streak milestones and Friendship Rose milestones pay coins too. Mini-games don't pay coins; after your 5 free plays a day, they cost coins. Belly is completely free to play with no paywalls.
